I've changed the forum theme for a more modern and updated look - let me know your thoughts on it.

Also, let me know if you notice that something is not working with the new theme.

There are still going to be several minor changes to the theme but that will take a few days to complete.

As well I'll be adding in some new features to the forum over the next little while - so if you have any requests about what you'd like to see on INF, please let me know, either in this thread or via PM.

It looks like it's based on the new Windows 8 'Metro' style, which is designed for tablets.

Nice! Anyway the only thing I don't like is the font smoothing which I find difficult to read. Any kind of font blurring always seems to make my eyes tired and so I always disable it whenever I can (laptop and desktop PCs, tablets, etc.).

Looks great but I'd change the following.
1) Logo. It does not go well at all with the new theme.
2) That top orange bar has too much height. Downsize it a bit.
3) Switch content and the Ad sidebar like in the Screenshot here.

Thanks guys for all of your kind words!

Yes it is! Well spotted.

I noticed the same thing. I thought it was because I was getting old! I've increased the font size a bit - does that help? If not, any suggestions as to fonts?

I agree completely. A new logo is being prepared - it should be ready in a week or so. I'll write more about it soon.

I see what you are saying. The best size is going to depend on how it looks with the new logo, so I'll wait on this.

3) Switch content and the Ad sidebar like in the Screenshot here.

Done!

Nice update done by you and changes is always acceptable by human, it attracts more new user and existing user feel fresh from update.

@Jeff

Yesterday, when the new theme was already active, for about an hour I noticed that the smoothing was disabled which was a pleasure for my eyes. But yes, I agree the non-smoothed text didn't fit the rest of the theme very well. A larger font seems like the best compromise.

Yes, I was playing around with different options!

I've added in the mobile version of the theme now. Let me know how it works for you.
