Has anyone been able to develop their .IN or .CO.IN sites and get it ranked in google's google.com, google.de or google.fr? Truely make the .IN an international?

I know there is a lot of non Indian buyers, so just curious to know how this works out...

I just checked a phrase with 250M search results and my .in is ranked #1 across all - google.com, google.de and google.fr so I would say yes it is definitely possible.

I also checked for the phrase 'india domain' (226M search results) and found inforum.in on the first page of all ccTLD google sites, however in different positions on the page.

Nice Indy - care to share the name? I can verify that I have also been able to rank one of my .in names in Google.com. I can also share with you that 98% of my traffic for that domain currently comes from the USA! I can't wait until the majority of India is online.

It depends on the content and subject of your website.

If you have a good website and you are following all Google T&C then there is no reason website will not rank on particular keywords on Google. We have just need to put our best to rank high on Google.

If you want to promote your site .IN need to host hihg fast server becoz other regional targeted users seems while your site will slow you can loose your potential users traffic & ranking both.
