Hi everyone,

I'm new here (my first post) and don't know much on Indian domains although have been following its market growth development in the past few years.

Please, would you appraise this one: CGU.IN

Any idea how much is it worth?

Acronyms:

CGU Conditions Générales d'Utilisation (French)
CGU Claremont Graduate University (Claremont, CA)
CGU Chang Gung University (Taiwan)
CGU Cash Generating Unit
CGU Canadian Geophysical Union
CGU Circuit Group Unblocking (ISUP message)
CGU Clock Generation Unit
CGU Club de Golf del Uruguay
CGU Commercial General Union (UK insurance company) NOW AVIVA
CGU Council of Global Unions (trade union collective)
CGU Consulting Group University
CGU Christian Gaming Universe (gaming community)
CGU Compound Geometrically Uniform
CGU Consortium of Georgian Universities

Thank you very much for your support and help!!

This is a double premium.
Has a lot of acronyms, which is a plus.
"CGU" on a google.co.in search comes up with 51+ million search results which is a definite plus. It indicates that that abbreviation is being widely searched on the net.
Has a CPC of $2.37
Overture Keywords 288

Probably not a 100% easy to pronounce and not a dictionary word.

With that being said, I would imagine a low XXX value for reseller. End user: can try a low XXXX and go from there.

If this is your first .IN registration, you are way better than me :)

Thank you for the appraisal and time to take to do it, domainventure!!
That's reassuring...it'd be good to find an end user.

As mentioned by you CGU can mainly be used as an acronym. Its neither a keyword nor a dictionary word. Its only use can be as an acronym. Thus we should be looking at local searches (India, as its .in). And it has a CPC of $0.00 and local monthly searches of 2,900/month.

No one would be looking for CGU as an keyword unless they mean an acronym. And if they are looking for some CGU in europe they would not likely be satisfied with CGU.in because its not a keyword.

CGU being a good short acronym can be of great value to the end buyer.

I will partially agree with you S51888.However, thesearcher is in Europe and your google.co.in MAY not applicable for him.

Besides, Sedo is the largest marketplace and those who do not just look at Indian exact searches and CPCs.

With all that said, I would stick to my appraisal

Hey Indianbob,
Thank you for the suggestion. Chattisgarh University was one I found earlier and thought of what you suggest...
Do you think I can simply email them?

By the way, thanks to S51888 and domainventure too...

sellable at about $500 to the average end user. Nice double premium lll.in. Holding is still a good alternative to a quick, supercheap sale.Once lll.in train is gone, its gone for good.
