For those of us who can't make it, it would be nice to hear all about what transpired after the meet, if anyone attending, would be kind to post the meeting details.

Some details on what specific domain issues wrt to India were discussed, some transactions which happened at the meet and such like would be a nice start and I am sure future meetings would be even Bigger.

We too are excited to meet all and this is first attempt for such meet in India.
Today we have detail talk with .IN registry and they are happy to hear for such meet and they too are eager to join the same, very soon we have another meet in association with .IN registry so all domainers can closely interact with registry officials.

Excellent work mitsu.

We would like to have more domainers here at meet. There are chances to meet some good buyers in the industry.

Thanks all in Hyderabad for attending meeting our first attempt is successful, After long meeting visited Control-S data center, Good to see a world class data center.

Thanks all

Meeting Update (My version)
======================

1) At the outset, I have to thank Sanjeev for taking time out to come to Hyderabad, patiently listen to all the domainers, pamper us with a sumptuous lunch for all the attendees and foot the bill....benevolence of the highest grade.

2) The meeting, being a first initiative of its kind undertaken by Sanjeev, was a huge success. It was music to our ears to hear In Registery is in total support of Sanjeev's initiatives and would like to sponsor such meets across PAN INDIA going forward. Hope to see in 2012 INDIA's own versions of DOMAINFEST, TRAFFIC Conferences.

3) Double digit attendance was recorded and all of the members were ahead of time at the venue busy networking with co-domainers and developers sharing knowledge, tips, and troubles. A good mix of domainers/developers/web designing firms, SEO Gurus, social Media experts, IT CEOs attended the meet.

Thrilled to come across domainers who have been in the market since 2002 and still thriving. Indian Domainworld needn't look outwards for guidance, lessons, inspiration, and success stories. There are enough stories in our own backyard to learn within India and credit goes to Sanjeev for getting some such veteran domainers under one roof and showing us the way forward. Taking the best of global and local experience and expertise of domainers is a fool-proof success strategy for any domainer.

4) All were surprised to see Sanjeev NOT promoting or talking about his company - Mitsu, but talking ONLY on these 9 issues:

A) .IN, CO.IN Trends
B) UDRPs, Legal Issues in Indian context and remedial measures
C) Domain names Monetization
D) IN Domain appraisals, valuation techniques and Market for BUY-SELL opportunities
E) Domain Registration pitfalls to avoid.
F) Promotion schemes effectiveness
G) NEW Gtlds opportunities, threats and their affect on cctlds
H) Creating synergies between domainers. Build-Buy-exit strategies.
I) ESCROW options available domestically within India

5) If everything goes well, Mitsu might soon launch some unique market sweeping schemes in the domain and hosting space for Individuals/SMEs/ Corporates. Plz check with Sanjeev for future updates.

6) Even after a heavy 5-star lunch Buffet, all were curious to hear from Sanjeev his pearls of wisdom with years of experience behind each topic he covered. The meeting moved over to the hotel lawns and went on for another 3 hours.

7) Great insights shared on domain development and monetization by NEO and Ingurus team. Showed all of us that the world beyond just buying and selling names is still bigger and far more remunerative and lucrative.

When it finally came to saying good bye, all wished if they could have spent more time with Sanjeev or if the day had more than 24 hours. Sanjeev assured us that there would be more bigger and more networking meets in future and this is just a beginning.

Summing up, every BIG thing has a small beginning and there are miles to go before Global acceptance dawns on IN domains. Hyderabad took the first step to reach that goal.

Very Cool Stuff - Definitely would like to see some pics of the venue. Would love to see something like this transpire in USA. I am sure if something like this would be put together in NY, there would be a triple digit turnout!

Sanjeev, sounds like you owe the rest of us a dinner. Let us know when the US meet is planned. I am all for helping organize the event!

Best,

Could you guys share what was said about the 9 topics that are mentioned?

Congrats btw, we tried to organise a couple of meets in Mumbai but they fizzled out due to very few participants, maybe soon though.

As for Sanjeev not talking about Mitsu, I'm not surprised, he doesn't really need to promote it, not with the numbers they're getting in.

Glad everyone had a great time at the meeting! I'd be very interested in a detailed coverage of what was said (and in looking at the pics ;)).

It looks like the Indian domain market has all the right cards to become a leader in the domain world, even with someone repeating the success stories of the early dot-commers.
