It also depends on how secure the domains/websites are. If online publishers receive extortion threats, it is difficult to concentrate on website development.

Ya rite i am agree with you all......but i also think the India is a future market for online industry.....internet industry will grow fast.one of the survey report says India is on 7th position for the Face book user .

The number of internet users in India is growing but most of them are using it on their cell phones and not on their computers.

Yes, but as a .in domainer,that is not the important number to track.The number of indians using the internet on computers is substantial and it is going to keep increasing. 2013-2015 will be a key time when that number hits low xxx million users. The numbers are still in our favor!
