Where are you all from?

Hello Scott,

Welcome, and thanks for taking the time to introduce yourself. It looks like you've been dealing in Indian domains for some time now, which is great of course!

Born and raised in India, working in Japan.

Love internet opportunities in India.

Cheers and Happy New Year to all.

Hello msdomains, and welcome to INForum.

It must be a great experience to work in another country. I've found working in other countries real eye-opening experiences.

Happy 2009, and may it bring you lots of great domains! :)

I guess my moniker gives it away. newyorkdude is a New Yorker. I spent a year in Bangalore (end of 2006 until July 2007). I maintain a website with my photos of Bangalore etc at newyorkdudeinindia.blogspot.com This blog is now 500 posts long. My photos and memories are in the first 200 posts or so. The newer posts are various observations about India. I'll be back.

Welcome to INForum newyorkdude!

Very interesting blog you've got - I've just bookmarked it.

:) Hello and welcome newyorkdude. Good idea to continue posting on your blog even after you left Bangalore. Some interesting posts.

Thanks for the kind words about my blog. With over 500 posts I covered a lot of territory. Is there anything about India I didn't comment on ;-) ?

This is a very interesting forum. Keep it up!

Welcome Corey!

I've always thought Sydney sound like a nice city to visit. Oh, and it helps that Sydney doesn't have cold winters like the ones I have to put up with here in Canada. ;)

Where Are You From

So I know that Jeff is from Canada, and for all of you who don't know as yet, I am from Delhi India (and an E&E engineer).
Now the question is where are you from - the regulars like Ceres (nice mod)
msdomains - (i guess Jap) and the others !!! Do post your locations and also your alternative careers (if any apart from web world wonders)

Thx
G

Hi All,

I am from India, and into domains and website projects. I work for a well known domain, website & SEO services company.

My personal portfolio is over 200 domains with most of them .COM, about 2 dozen each of .INFO and .IN, about a dozen .MOBI, a few IDNs and a scattering of .ORG, .NET, .BIZ, .US, a couple of .TEL (for my brand names) and taken most recently SRI.NAME.

My best .INs are:
LocalRentals.in
AffiliateB2B.in
24752.in

.IN hacks:
eBullet.in
eDoma.in
euDoma.in

Best .com: LinkCite.com (plus all major TLDs)
Best .info: 24365.info (also have 24365.FM)
Best .mobi: ADVT.mobi (and 2388.mobi - numpad equivalent of advt)

IDNs:
శ్రీ.com (Telugu IDN for sri.com)
श्री.NET (Hindi IDN for sri.net)
जयहो.com (Hindi IDN for JaiHo.com)

To tell you all frankly, almost half of my domains are vanity domains with no resale value per se, but the other half are mostly mid $xxx to mid $xxxx.

Who was it that said, what?s in a name?

Thanks everyone for taking the time to introduce yourself.

@kumaar, welcome to INForum!

@pubdomains, although we've already spoken via various INForum posts, this is my official 'hello' and 'welcome.' :)

@Zap. Welcome! I live in Canada as well (originally from UK). I've read quite a bit about Vancouver, and it sounds like a lovely city. Hey, you share Vancouver city with another well-known domainer - Kevin Ham.
