The One word i invented!

IT.com
It's too much like the American slang expression 'snot' which means the bad stuff that comes out of one's nose. The implication of 'snot' is stuffy and condescending. A 'snotty' person is a vain snob.

If you want to market to snots, it's a good word. But the rest of the world (that speaks American English) won't like it.

No kidding, I also thought of the word "snot" when I saw the word "snaat." I thought it was just me...

hehe! i didnt know about snots.. but i thought that end users would think it like the words:
snap - heard of snapnames ?
swat- say i want to snaat a fly with the fly snaater
at dictionary.com i found the similar words:
snath - the shaft or handle of a scythe.
snast - The snuff, or burnt wick, of a candle.
snar - something like snore

btw.. all are taken and i didnt get my appraisal about its value in say some $
actually i will make something like templatemonster.com at snaat.com so domainers wont need to design templates.. they would get ready-made ones by just snaating or say using snaat.com

i have other names also in mind so i may want to sell early too in a good offer and that's why i just wanted some appraisal value & make offers of snaat in $.

regards,
Abhishek

Hi Abhishek,

Bear in mind I haven't quite mastered the art of appraising a domain, but hey I'll give it a shot... :)

As it currently stands, I don't think the domain has much $ value (worth reg fee). It's a made up word which has no obvious commercial value or branding attached to it that would appeal to an end user.

If you intend to build a website on the domain (and brand/market it), then it would gain some value - as you'd also be selling a business with potential profit. I think there's some kind of formula people use when selling a business/profitable website. Anyone know what the formula is?

Lastly, you'd need to market the name in such a way so people don't associate it with the slang expression mentioned by NewYorkDude. ;)
