Complete List of Indian Domain Name Sales

Lowball offers are a plague for just about every TLD, but unfortunately it looks like .IN is one of the most frequently targeted. I get a lot of $60 offers via Sedo on my best .INs. Yes, I know I could set a minimum offer, but such offers at least gives you an idea of the general interest on the extension (specifically, interest is now way higher than 5 years ago).

uuu.in is on sedo auction>> - Starting Bid: 499€

A guy from china tries to buy triple letter .in domains. I got similar offers. Too low for my domains.

Few updates:
These names which were on SEDO auctions had their respective transactions completed. Here are the numbers:

JMM.IN $500
RRR.IN $788

Agree with @the_poet , that interests for .in domains has increased by several folds over 2012. "Interest" in my case is defined by number on inquiries I receive for buying a .in domain name over a period of time, Just hang on the .in names a little longer, I'm hoping that good times for .in are round the corner. See the PPP for India: List of countries by GDP (PPP) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I think RRR.IN buyer is from China and a domainer like us. The same buyer also bought several NNN.INs and other LLL.INs.

FYI, I just got lowball ($100 each) offers on:

955.in, 818.in, 885.in, 655.in and 155.in

on 4.cn - I imagine all from the same buyer, but maybe the idea of .in numbered domains could catch on in China... they are running out of options with .com, .net and .cn names.

Got offers on 4.CN too yesterday on NNN.INs (~$50 each) Countered with higher amounts, and the buyer cancelled the thread.

Have a geo .in going through Sedo's escrow for $1500 at the moment. Will update with the name when process is complete

Name was Bharatpur.in (thanks to Mitsu for the catch last year) and final selling price was £950 (approx. $1550 USD)

Thats an awesome price, considering the fact that Bharatpur isn't huge in terms of population. Congrats.

compare.co.in at $600 with 1 day to go. No reserve.
345.in at $400 with 5 days to go. No reserve.

Both at marketplace auction on Sedo and both will sell.

That's great news, indeed. Congrats! Bharatpur has 6600 exact local searches and the population is 252k. A well developed medium-size city with historic background. It is also a district name with 2,5 millions people. I would probably ask a similar price for that domain. :) Interesting that it was bought by the UK company. I guess we will see what the are planning soon.

Perhaps something is stirring in the Geo market as I also sold a few Geo related domains in the last 2 months (3 of them were related to Chennai). However it is still very rare to sell town names like Bharatpur (people usually offer like 100 - 200 USD) so they are patiently waiting for better times.

Thanks! Yes I think the sale will certainly put a smile on the faces of those who own top premium geos. For those of you interested I had the domain listed as 1800 GBP BIN or Best Offer and was lucky enough to have a high initial offer of 850 GBP. I countered twice increasing the buyers offer by 50 GBP each time and then decided I didn't want to risk losing the deal so accepted the money. I suspect I might have got him to around 1100 GBP but that small increase wasn't worth the possibility of losing the deal to me.

Incidentally, the Whois is still showing my details but the Buyer is from the UK so it will be interesting to see where it resolves over the following weeks...

TopTen.co.in on Sedo auction at $5,400. A .co.in and currently the auction with the highest bid on Sedo WOW!
