Are you being serious or just having a laugh? I do not think that political parties are interested in domain names at the mo but what about other hindu organisations??

At the end of the day, is this domain name worth holding on to or not??

I'm serious, did you know BJP was one of the major online advertisers and people were really sick and tired of their Advani ads pooping up on across famous websites?

Are end user sales the only option a domainer has?

Have you ever thought of development? Get some basic hosting space, install phpBB, hire people to post, and do some promotion, maybe you can add value to it then?

low $xxx. Forums are very popular and have high demand. Not sure if the keyword "hindu" is better than "hindi" in this domain, but there should be some interest in this name soon..

I think 888 has a point there, truekumar, that you should give a thought at developing it.

With a well thought out idea in place and good execution, I think the name has what it takes to be an active platform for a Forum.

Cheers!

I'd also like to add, that forums are not money making machines even if they start looking active.

It will take some time before you could make some money from them, it is hard work and will test your patience on many levels.

Ask Jeff, I'm sure he's recently experienced how difficult it may be to start a forum :)

Valuable words there 888.

First have a well-thought-out idea that can add value to people by providing a service/product, execute the idea with adequate knowledge, ensure quality and consistency of service while continuously enhancing its value, do the right estimates about the gestation period for break-even, and only then think about ROI. That's how any meaningful and long-term venture/business goes.

It's like going trekking in the woods. Most people perceive it as a physically grinding and mentally exhausting activity. But, for the one who knows what he / she is upto, it's both loving and having fun with what they do because they choose to do it.

Learning from the experience is a fall out of doing what they love.

Not a bad name-worth developing.

BTW -- What's a hindu?

Lays eggs
- sorry, I could not resist it

Ouch! Someone who follows Hinduism is a Hindu. Like some who follows Christianity is a Christian.

It's only the 3rd largest religion to be followed on earth, don't think you missed too much

Update: Also just noticed you own Ganges.co.in, a river holy to Hindus :)

?? is it a play of the language? .. completely flummoxed.

Ooops my sense of English humour.

When I lived in HK I had many Hindu friends and the "witticism" was often used but mainly spoken not written so:

Think of this as spoken words- question: What's a hen do (hin du)- Answer: lays eggs!

Lost in translation. :p

Right then guys! I think I am definitely looking to develop this domain name into a fully functional forum BUT how exactly do I do that in the CHEAPEST possible way???

100% on the target. Installing forum software is the easy part of the development process. Having a forum that is active takes a lot from the owner of the site.

The ROI is very low btw.
