R I U.IN - $350(sedo)

Payment has been received by sedo and transfer is currently taking place.

Congrats, looks like it was sold to RIU Hotels which has many hotels worldwide.

BTW I recently sold U R C for 600 , it was a private sale.

Just, found out the statistics of all reported LLL.IN sales:

The average selling price for LLL,IN is ~$1300
The median selling price is $650

The skewness is attributed to that fact that there were some very BIG sales of LLL.IN, but based on my experience $650 is a bit low median price and I would expect to sell names for ~$750 range. I'm assuming that most of these sales are going through SEDO which does charge you a 15% commission. But if you are going through Escrow, it does help to be flexible since the cost of Escrow is not too much and the buyers are usually happy to split the cost. As the new year dawns, which everyone good luck for a better year next year with larger sales. Do not sell names for way below median price, because then it does create an impression that .ins are cheap domains. I think since we are all here to make profits, might as well raise the bar next year, which IMHO will be a superb year for .ins

These SOLD on SEDO in the past week:

boardgames.in $1,700
myinvestments.co.in $1,000

laxmi.in SOLD for US1,000 on SEDO in the past week. Maybe the last reported .in sale of the year as we head into the holidays.

These SOLD on SEDO in the past week:
lynda.in $5,500
drones.in EURO 2,250
verb.in $2,200
miles.in $750

Notice that all buyers are from outside India :)

Guys, I have updated the sales page the website (http://domainmarket.in/sales/) where I track the domain sales with the graph to show trend of sales over year.

The graph is at the bottom and can be seen here: http://domainmarket.in/sales/byYear.png

What you see in the box for each year is the general range for that year for most of the domains. The dots are outliers. For example in 2013, the range of most of the sales were from from ~800 to 5000. The dark line you see in the box is the median price.

The graph may take a while to understand, but I think it shows a lot of good data on one single graph.

Excellent analysis - thanks Ace!

Are you able to break the data down a bit - e.g. average sales range for one-word .in, average sales range for two-word .in, average sales range for one-word .co.in, average sales range for two-word .co.in, etc.

Also, can you write in what numbers are on the graph? As the range is from $0 to $10,000 it is very difficult to tell if a line means e.g. $3,000 or $4,000. Or perhaps just make the range from $0 to $10,000 and make a note outside the graph of numbers larger than $10,000.

I really appreciate your filters on the sales page - very helpful.

Useful feedback Jeff. I'll add one-word two-words thing a bit later. We really dont have too many two-words sales. But what I can do is breakdown by LLL vs Keywords.

Re: Putting numbers there, good suggestion, I should put in there. I'm generating this graph using a language called R, learning to play with it. definitely on my to-do list.

You know Ace - I was wondering on your site, Year 2014 should be in your drop down options, sales data have started trickling in - some of which you have posted here. Just a friendly reminder.

Yes, I generally update the site, once a month or when there are lots of domain sales. This month was pretty quite one, hence I'll update them in Feb.

Excellent work and much appreciated "Notice that all buyers are from outside India" There is a change coming, that will be cognitive terms with National Identity with the emphases on "National Identity". Stagnation without Home Consumers is not acceptable, the rally (as ever) will be national identity (all cultures, all nations same old, same old)

After quite few weeks, here are the recent .in sales in the past week on SEDO:

mouser.in $5,000
cape.in $1,000

Mouser - not very smart lawyers perhaps,I think they could have saved a lot of money?
