India Needs More Content in Regional Languages

CXOtoday has an interesting article that states India needs to have more content in regional languages, otherwise its internet growth will be stunted (especially in India's rural areas).

Introducing more content in local languages makes a lot of sense, as people prefer to read in their own language. That seems a like a smart move forward.

However, I still think English content is very important as a lot of business is conducted in English. Also, there needs to be a "common second language" in India as there are so many different languages spoken in this country. English seems the most obvious choice.

I'd be very interested to hear what other people's views are on this.

I think its a good idea to have content in regional languages..but we need not keep it restricted to only that..people need to know other languages like english too because its become more like a global language today..

I agree with you that people in all countries like to read in their own language and it is normal to make contents in local languages. But there will be no business without the English language.
