The saturated niches

We all agree that the internet offers a great opportunity to build a business and make money. The industries that are trendy soon become saturated and I think SEO blogs fall in that category. What are your thoughts?

The SEO blogs definitely fall into the saturated category! What is also amazing to me is that I get an email from a "hotmail" account telling me they can get me 1st page in Google. Seriously? from Hotmail? No company name or anything else that looks like it might be official. Do people really fall for that? Every now and then I get one from what looks to be a legit name and with a SEO company specified. But do a Google search for them and can you find them anywhere near the first page? Nope, if you find them at all they are buried deep in the results but most times you will not find them. How can they "help me" if they can't help themselves!

I think that you are right, SEO blogs are definitely a saturated niche these days. In all honesty, I think marketing is just becoming a saturated niche period.

I agree with that. It seems all it takes to declare yourself a digital marketing "guru" is a working knowledge of how to use google search.

I think financial websites are overdone now. There are so many blogs and forums out there competing for the same affiliate clicks, sponsorships, and ad revenue. It's so saturated that even the mini-niches have been claimed. Finance for someone in their 20's, how to live frugally with a family, cut your budge in half while working at a New York firm. It gets absurd.

You are all right; all those niches mentioned are either extremely saturated or blatantly exaggerated. In all honesty, I find many financial websites to be imitations of each other, taking advantage of article spinning to present what some other website has already talked about.

I used to have a hotmail address back in the day and I'd be surprised if I got any such email today. It is interesting that most of these companies that promise to boost your page rank (s) actually fare so badly themselves.

Having said all these, you will be shocked that there are people who normally opt to go against the grain and venture into the so-called 'saturated' fields. I guess it is much harder to push dominance in this way.
