.in and .co.in domains seem like they are eventually going to be worth big money. I know it might not be for a few years (or more) but they seem like a great investment.

What are the arguments against these domains taking off?

What past ccTLDs support or do not support the idea that India's extensions will grow in value?

To me there are three major ones:

1) India business still prefer .com at the moment although they are increasing rare in that view with most countries adopting their ccTLD eagerly.

2) .in and .co.in names in Indian scripts are taking a LONG time to roll out. IDN.com and .net have a big headstart.

3) The existence of both .in and .co.in causes confusion.

NOW I AM R E A L Y CONFUSED!

I THOUGHT .IN & .CO.IN AND EVEN NET.IN ARE GOOD INVESTMENTS.....!!!!

SO, WHAT NOW - BUY OR SELL?

I AM MORE FOR THE BUY OPTION - I THINK THERE IS A HUGE POTENTIAL....

Hi Lass73

Everyone on this forum loves .in and .co.in and is buying them happily.

However, its good to be aware of the negative sides of your investment.

I found of 3 reasons not to buy .in and .co.in, but I can think of 20 to buy them.

Thanks for your opinions Steve. Can you explain #2? I'm new to all this and don't follow the "indian scripts" and idn.com stuff.

Basically the Indian registry is slow in allowing people to register .in and .co.in names in Hindi, Gujurati etc.
