DomainSherpa Review – June 15: Exhibit.ca, Pro.flowers, 70a.com, OA.uk, DN.tv…

IT.com
It's back to the regular DomainSherpa Review but with Frank Schilling joining as a guest Sherpa, we can't help but talk about premium new gTLD sales with his blockbuster sale of Pro.flowers to FTD.

* We learn what the Sherpas bought or sold recently: Exhibit.ca, Pro.flowers, 70a.com
* An investor's portfolio is appraised: Tipping101.com, PotBuyingGuide.com, WinTraffic.com...
* Get your bids in soon for OA.uk, DN.tv, BrokenPhones.com at NameJet.com...
* A surprising result when a Sherpa summits the mountain in the "Name That Price" game
* Plus, much more!

We're joined by three Domain Sherpas: Adam Dicker, Frank Schilling and Shane Cultra.

Good quality reviews and surprising $50k for pro.flowers & over $30k for the dot (ca). Makes the one word dot (in's) seem like incredible value if you can afford to hold and eventually use quality a outbound marketing platform. My associate hand reg three domains today for Chhe6 (dot) com and although he was pleased it seems to me that the fact that they were still available reflects on how much further there is to go before commerce "get it". Something I am sure seasoned forum members know all to well. The 3 names VanHire (in) SastaTyres (com) FitTyres (com) + the (in's)

$50K for pro.flowers makes no sense when they have built their business around FTD? Just seems like another one of "those" that comes with each new gtld. I guess the next big one will be a .casino?

Think as a B2B it makes a sense. FS would have incentivized this sale (I guess) as a billboard 4 dot flowers.

I'm on the same page as wot - in new extensions, the registry always seems to get some great sales that domainers just can't replicate.

Jeff, The historic data points that way but I understand the need to "showcase' which ultimately is good for the markets ? Michael Berkens seems to be getting his ROI although I do understand he is using the economies of his scale to advantage, something few can replicate but we all need to see lottery winners. I looked @ dot Bank and costs are very high but decided to try for "Islami" to no avail, guessing it was a domainer who secured it. Do believe Dot (In's) are great value especially when the single words are cognitive and the two words are a mix of Hindi - English as I think all nations are aspirational and national at heart.
