1996. Nice Mitsu. Hope you regged some one word .coms then. :D

1996 brings a lot of memories, the old As-400s and telling people that you are a system analyst used to be looked at as brain surgery. Memories...Still kicking myself into not regging domains at that time.

Several .coms registered along the same time, I believe in early 2002 if memory serves right, do not have any of those. Sold along with the business I had at the time.

City: Charleston, SC

Yes we still have some one word .com but majority we dropped in 2000 and 2001 (that period was worst domaining period) at that time parking was not available even Google was in very initial stage. At that time our focus was India centric and our majority of domain will reflect India as suffix or keyword+mart as suffix.

The actual one which I registered first of all and the one which I dont want to disclose was:

myfirstname.net
Oct 09, 2009
Bagfull.com
Chandigarh

My first domain was 123bazaar.com and I had registered it in 1999 or 2000 thru network solutions @ $70 for 2 years... it got dropped after a few years and was owned by different ppl.

I registered it again in May 2011 and now I own it..

What use do you think will be appropriate for this domain ?

123bazaar.com

A selling portal would be best suited for it.. Like a market, Bazaar=Market

Because of word Bazaar, it can be targeted only for Indian population.

Or, 123 of Bazaar means All ins and outs of bazaar, means trends of bazaar..
So, A study/research of history, and future forecast of the various trends in the market.. Market may be of precious metals, Stock Market, Forex Trade, or even the day-to-day commodities..

Gotta say, needs serious development time and dedication, but once developed, its gona pay you back a healthy sum..

Thanks for the advice, its really very useful for me...

I do agree with you that the word bazaar will be relevant in India but I came across a Australian ecommerce site by the name of electronicbazaar.com.au

I checked the site, and they surely are using the word Bazaar in totally unrelated context to India. So does it mean the general western public (Not webmasters/domainers) relates the word Bazaar to market. And what about word Guru?

Now I agree that my above-mentioned uses for this domain 123bazaar.com can be targeted to whole world. :)

Many westerners own domains with 'guru' & 'bazaar' words, I have seen it in whois but dont remember any specific ones.

www.harpersbazaar.com is a prominent example...
