What's the Plan for Your Indian Domains?

Do have a plan in place for your Indian domains? Do you intend to:

- flip the domains for a quick profit?
- build sites in order to monetize and/or resell them?
- hold your domains as long-term investments?
- do a mixture of the above?!

Can you think of any other options a domainer has?

hello Cres,
looks like no body has got any plan so far ;)

for me: i believe in making websites and holding them for long term!

and i wish you should also mention about your plan else i will be the only one to reveal my plan here! hehehe!

Abhishek - that's pretty much my plan too! I think that there is a really good opportunity now to get websites up and ranking in Google before the competition gets too heavy.

Agreed. My plan also.

I've seen many websites that appear to have been built 10 years ago and are ranking really well despite looking horrible.

Its not a good time to flip, but to get the best bang for the buck, I would do hold on the domains ona long term. For domains that receive type-in traffic, I would develop a site.

Agree with Ace - in the current economic climate, I don't think most people will be able to flip profitably.

I would prefer a mixture of the 2nd and 3rd option..especially since the strategy changes while dealing with gTLDs and ccTLDs

I'm holding for the long term investment. If offers come sooner than i expect, and the price is right i'll sell, but in the meantime, i think its essential to "lock down" good .in names. By locking down, i mean registering for multiple years at once if you can so that you don't get tempted to drop names that have a very good chance of rising in value, e.g LLL.in.

ya..I too agree..locking down on good dictionary words in .IN extension will pay off..the only problem is that they are difficult to hold if you have a huge portfolio cos of their prices..
