Google Directory closed & gone
It looks like Google has shut down their directory:
Google Directory
Google Directory is no longer available.
We believe that Web Search is the fastest way to find the information you need on the web.

Yeap, there is a the clear message 'Google Directory is no longer available.' Hopeful for some words from Matt about it.
