    Lightbulb starting a .in marketplace

    hi Guys,

I am just about to finish 2 new marketplaces this week for the .in market.

I was wondering what would be a good price to ask for listing auctions?
will be giving away 20 free domain/website listings to new members to get started.

dont want to charge commission like the others do and that is why i want to get people to pay a small price to list domains and websites for sale or auction.

i was think $2usd per listing and $1 per listing for amounts over 100 domains.

    does this sound ok?

will release the 2 site names on the weekend as we are testing right now.

    thanks for reading

I would suggest you to start with free listing to gt traction. Once you get a decent client base, then only start thinking of paid listing.
    My 2 cents.
$3 Clearance Sale - Fixed Price, Yes $3 each for Keyword Rich .IN
my .IN Showroom - Starting from $9 only.

    hey DW,
sure i will adjust the amount of free listings from 50 domains/websites to 250 websites/domains.
I think having 250 free listings is enough for most (actually thought 50 would be ok).

The people have spoken and please allow me 24hrs to adjust the credit system

thanks for your 2 cents :P

I tried to add some domain today. Your form requires providing website URL which is problematic if domain is parked (some parking services like NameDrive forbid linking to the parked domain).
Also, when submitting a new auction fails, all entered details disappear - something to fix.
I would suggest making separate submit forms for websites and domains.

    @kokoro
    will read their T&C's later
I can implement a 'url cloaker' through my other site miniurl.in and should escape any issues.
but a few aftermarket sites do link to parked domains

also when i tested and submitted the 'test domains' i didnt get any errors and both submitted ok.
I can see your point with the separated forms and will look into it.

and just added 500 more credits to already registered members

I mailed ND support to clear this up and let you kow their answer.

As for submitting domains, I meant that when you don't fill some field (like that URL to website) you will get a message which is correct, but all previously filled details are lost and you have to fill that form from scratch.

    thanks K,
reading the T&C's from the various companies is something i have failed to do and will do very shortly.
with the form, sure will adjust tomorrow after work and separate the forms.

I am also near completion of a parking system so the domainer gets 100% of earnings and that will be coming very soon. along with other cool features, just work is killing me these last 2 weeks.

    please note also:
i will be releasing 'sellwebsites.in' after i adjust selldomains to customers needs so all suggestions are welcome.
Plus I also want to sell some of domains too so i know how you feel......some good, some bad :P

I got answer from ND and they confirmed that linking to parked domains is not allowed. You can still use internal linking or display domains as a text. Just don't put any outcoming links or make it optional at least (so I could disable it for parked domains) and it should be fine.

I dont even pay afternic.com nowadays coz they dont guarantee sales, if you can guarantee sales of domains, then would definitely pay for listing after sale has been made ;-).
