Google Contest: Submit Your Hindi Content

Here's an opportunity to help promote Hindi content on the internet. Can you produce a high quality essay in Hindi? If so, check out Google's latest contest. Details are as follows:

The 'Hai Baaton Main Dum?' contest is open to those above 13 years of age. The participants can create the content Google's Indic Transliteration tool, which enables one to translate words written in English to Hindi and other Indian languages.

"Currently, the contest is open to Hindi content only but we would certainly look at extending it to other languages," he said.

There are five categories: entertainment, politics, travel, sports and health. The contest closes on January 31, 2010.
