I haven't found much, but here's what I've found so far:

General (paid) web directories with a decent India Regional category:
DMOZ (free), Yahoo!, BOTW.org, AvivaDirectory, Directory.v7n.com, Romow, AuthorityDirectory, Webotopia.org, In.Ezilon.com, HotvsNot

There are a number of free Indian web directories that I found through Google searches. I submitted my listing; after 11 days I still haven't heard back nor has my listing been approved. One exception: IndiaWebDirectory.info added my listing.

Just check at indiandir.com. It has a good list .

don't go for only Indian based directory... submit every directory in net that support your site
