Recently i saw a Shoppingcart for furnitures named "everythingfurniture.com". This website is owned by yahoo. They have listed a list of vendors who manufacture furnitures. I wish to know how this Shopping cart works.

Is it possible for a newbie to start such a shopping cart, does he get vendors ETC

just visit Furniture, Everything Furniture, Bedroom Furniture, Dining Room Furniture, Living Room Furniture, Children's Furniture, Powell Furniture, it is a yahoo's shopping cart.

Yahoo doesnt manufactures furnitures, the site has a list of vendors to supply furnitures
I wish to know how this Shopping cart works. who gets payment when we pay from our creditcard, how the order is processed etc.

Yahoo is the provider for shopping cart - but doesn't have any active role to play in the link you have posted.
Some of your questions would be answered by THIS.
Everything Furniture, Inc. runs and operates this store front - so you pay to EFI who place order on your behalf to their vendors / dealers.
