    I have seen many of you develop nice portal sites.

    So, which CMS is the best to create a portal/ecommerce websites.

    Joomla - For full fledged ecommerce with international shipping. It takes a bit to maintain but a great cms.
    Wordpress - Best for seo and easiest to manage.

    Yes there are. The one that I've used is WordPress e-Commerce Plugin a WordPress Shopping Cart Plugin by Instinct and it's pretty good. Just not as robust as virtuemart but for a simple store or an affiliate shopping cart it works well.

    I would recommend Joomla for CMS and OSCommerce for ecommerce. - use Joomla for landing and SEO and osc to manage and sell your inventory!

    Yes, Joolma is a good free CMS script. Also you can find many templates.

    Yes, Joomla is indeed very good for CMS..and another good thing is that its also supported on almost all servers..
