Checking site speed.

I don't know how fast my site is because sometimes its really fast and sometime its slow depending on my connection. Is there some kind of service online that gives a speed for a site? I don't have much money, so I really want something free.

There are so many free services that you can use to determine just how fast your site is, and I don't have to tell you how important speed is in order to get good rankings and traffic. I use Pingdom.com

I use Chrome developer tools to do the diagnostic on the page. And it shows some good data so far. I think it'd be fun to use such tools. I'd use it if I have enough resources. I think those who wish to have good understanding of the website speed, can make use of that tool. I am using this way. There is also firefox developer tools you can try.
