When you are going for outbound sales, be reasonable with the price, says Elliot Silver.
Sometimes, what happens is, the sellers try to put a very high price tag when pitching the domain name to prospective buyers.
From the sellers point of view, they consider that they are leaving enough space for negotiation.
However, this affects the sale. A lot of times, high quotes tend to drive away the buyers. They are discouraged even to make an offer from their side. The sellers end up not getting an offer from the other side even though the buyer may be very interested in their domain.

A similar incident happened with Elliot Silver.
