Yes, very strange information.

I've certainly been guilty of purchasing domains with a development project in mind, then not starting on the project at all, or starting and giving up soon after. Still, the amounts of money here are such that someone is throwing a lot away.

I wouldn't drop that much on a new domain extension. If I did the domain would be in use.

This is definitely a strange statistic and reading the article, I think I get a greater outlook now. Is there a way around this, so to speak?
