What exactly is 'some money'? For me to consider if this is worth the time and effort that I would have to put into it, I would love to know a rough figure of how much we're talking about.
I have a plan that I follow every month when it comes to my expenses, and it includes saving and investing a certain percentage of all that I make, and so if I made that much money it would be dealt with according to my existing plan.
That can work for getting traffic but I think that it's really going to be hard to find a constant stream of good quality original content for your website.
I think it certainly does affect the way people view you and how professional you look to your visitors. If I'm going to spend my time reading a blog I want to know that the blogger is serious enough about their work to at least get a proper domain.
I think it's great that e-commerce took the industry by storm. It has really revolutionized the way we all do our shopping. I don't even know how I used to manage to get everything done before the internet.
I'm afraid that's something that I am not yet familiar with. I would like to learn more about it though, if you have any resources that you can point me toward.
I totally agree with you Tulip. As a website owner it's up to you to make sure that the ownership of your domain is never in question. You never know what a disgruntled employee might do so it's best not to put that power in their hands.
Can anyone please explain to me just exactly how re-targeting works when it comes to placing ads? I have seen this in action whereby I go to a certain website and then later while i', I notice that their ads are sort of 'following' me around the sites that I go to afterward.
I was just thinking about how sometimes we pay for traffic and get thousands of clicks just to end up with only 50 or less sales or leads. Wouldn't it be better to laser in on the people we advertise to so that only our 'perfect prospects' click on our ads? Is there a way to do that?
It's becoming easier and easier to make money these days and more and more young people are getting in on the game. I think we are going to see the number of young millionaires grow each year.
I wish I knew more about the reasons why a particular website might crash. Does it sometimes have anything to do with too many people being logged on at the same time?
In this business I always say that when you're in doubt, it's best to leave it alone. There are way too many other legitimate companies that you can work with but you should never go into business if you're unsure.
I think that entirely depends on whether or not you have your personal brand invested in that blog. If so, then it would be really hard to leave that topic and start a new one just like that.
I started online as a freelancer rewriting articles. It was a really great job and I used to enjoy it a lot. Now I am working on my own business online.
There are some dishonest people out there who would pay for testimonials or reviews for their products, but I think that most of the businesses out there are doing things the right way.
If you're trying to market your website while building your email list at the same time, what would be the best (easiest) thing to give away on your site?
Yeah, but from what you're saying that's more like a one-page website, and those aren't the ones that I was asking about. I mean those kind of sites that post content regularly.
I agree with Connected. I don't always trust the reviews online because sometimes they can be made up and not really reflect the true nature of the company's service standards.
