Feysbook may be spelled differently and the actual site be about something entirely different, but when you speak them, they sound the same. So can a company sue over something like that? Depends on the company and how well-padded their legal department is.

How about a 1 page site that is informational only. You see it, you read it, you like it and you want to know more. So you click the link given that re-directs you to the "real" site that has a different URL so you can conduct whatever business it is.

That article has to be promotional in nature. Like a PSA that is reminding you of something that has been around for a very long time.

You own a domain name with an Australian extension. You live, work and got that name in Australia. Current laws dictate that you cannot change the extension to another country while you are still in Australia. Someone in Germany wants to buy that domain from you, but current laws dictate that...

In our opinion, what exactly, if anything, determines the value/price of a domain name as seen through its extension? Everything I have seen on this topic tells me there is no method at all to the madness.

I would certainly go for the cheaper method. Would cloaking work? This doesn't sound like a perfect science though. The geography of land can be trickier to pinpoint than what I have seen Google maps do in the past. They are far from perfect.

Content will always be king here. You can have the best keywords there are, but if they are not within quality content, Google will let you know.

They have apps for that, as well as the RSS feed. You can create content ahead of time and have it "direct deposited" into your site at a predetermined time.

I wouldn't do it. If I ever get something in my mail with a bizarre extension, it gets deleted without me even looking at it. There is the spam reason, and there is also the virus reason.
