Hi Steve
Thanks.
“Sindur” is the name of the red powder used for make the spot (bindi) on the forehead (between the eyebrows) of indian women. In english, the word is “sindoor” (see
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sindoor).
“Tabu” is the polynesian word from which the english word “taboo” is originated (see
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taboo). In many languages the word is "tabu", which pronunciation is the same of "taboo". There is, indeed, an indian actress who adopted "Tabu" as a nickname.
A “totem” is any which watches over or assists a group of people, such as a family, clan or tribe. See more:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Totem. "Totem" is found with almost all Top Level Domain.
“Totem and Taboo” (or "Totem and Tabu") is the name of a book by Sigmund Freud (see
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Totem_a...rror_of_Incest).
I also own Chan.in. "Chan" is the chinese for "Zen", a school of Buddhism.
