FYI.

I got an email from Sedo regarding domain names with special characters. They say "From December 10th it will be possible to register .EU domain names containing special characters for the first time. From our experience, demand for newly released domain names is very high. We would therefore like to help you as much as we can."

Samples:
rücken(dot)eu
schäferhund(dot)eu

Also we can pre-register these domains through Sedo if you are a Sedo member.

Can anybody tell me is it worth give a try?

Eligiblity for registering .eu domain:

The .EU IDN requirements are the same as those applicable to any other .EU domain name.

• If you are applying as an individual you must reside within one of the 27 European Community State Members
• If you are applying as the representative of a legal entity, it must be established within one of the 27 European Community State Members

Any thought on the above matter? If I register .eu domain, will they take it from me?

Wondering if .in TLD has any such restriction.
