ccTLDs vs. .com
If you invest in .uk domains, then you might be interested to know that the average price for .co.uk domains is now higher than .com domains. This information was given by Sedo.
Sedo states that businesses increasingly realise the value of having a regionally specific suffix. Hopefully, this same realisation will continue to increase in India as well! The firm's market study for the second quarter of 2009 found that the average price for .co.uk domains is £790, and that .com had dropped to £594. However, the highest bid for a single domain was talk.com, which sold for £303,994.

Re: ccTLDs vs. .com
The data is very skewed - all you have to do is look at DNJournal to see that's not true. I imagine Sedo just does a large volume of low value .com domains, whereas the low value .co.uk domains get sold on the forums and elsewhere.
