Thread: Fake website for Patna High Court

A couple of years ago, scammers were baiting people with fake Google job offers.

Scammers are now operating a website that is posting fake jobs with the Patna High Court in Bihar. One unlucky person that logged on to the fake website highcourtpatna.co.in was cheated out of Rs 7000. He had a surprise waiting for him when he turned up "for work":

Once the money was paid, Sahni got a blank paper without any stamp or signature and wrote on it that Singh had been recruited for the job and should join office from July 15. The man went to the high court again on the date of joining and got a shock when told no such vacancy existed

The fake website was created in June 2011 and the Whois provided is also fake... the telephone number given is "1234567."

Unfortunately, although police are investigating this scam, the site still seems to be up and running. The real website for Patna High Court is http://patnahighcourt.bih.nic.in/
