Also, the article says that 40% in India access the internet via mobile phones.

Hopefully in the very nearest future. The domain value of .IN/.co.in will raise in the sky soon.

Interesting information.

Possibly in 5-10 yrs, India will surpass US and become the largest English language population online. Value of .in/.co.in domains will be tied to this and the growing buying power.

India is estimated to hit between 350M-400M people online within 5 years. There will still be growth, but the estimates don't give up to 10 years for it to surpass the US.

Good to see India becoming so involved in the online world. Will .in become more popular or is .com the de facto.

Also interesting to see the comment about the English language users in India but what about content?

Will content be English or Hindi and what about the 200 other Indian native languages?

Well, the basic rule is that .com is king. But .com is obviously becoming most spent AND more expensive(for good solid names, ceteris paribus).

As an end user, you end up thinking $5K for a premium lll.in might be expensive, but how much will you fork over for the lll.com?Probably not enough,and i believe that is one of the good opportunities for .in.

I have calculated on lll.in domains for future
So keeping as much lll.in domains as I get.

You can see technology is growing faster in India.
In India even a beggar uses mobile phone.
You may have noticed that India has highest mobile users and growing.....
Like wise the no. of mobile internet users also growing.
Now I see Computers users are growing and it will grow like mobile users.

After all India will get more 1 million users from Sakshat Tablet PC.
This will help to increase the internet users in India.
