6.5 lakh villages to be linked by internet
News From India:
In the next five years, all 6 5 lakhs villages of the country will be connected by internet. Union minister of state for communications and IT Sachin Pilot said.
Pilot stressed the need to extend high speed broadband to all Indian villages and development of regional language applications but underlined that the it is expensive to deliver essential services to such far flung areas.
