Localisation has to be the key.

Local domain names (including .in and .co.in etc. and IDNs)
Local information delivered via handheld devices

Very interesting thought steve

And with the growth internet is witnessing, it would be possible that domain owners prefer Leasing out their domains instead of selling them outright for a wuick buck!
