Default Youmint sending cheques not requested

Youmint.com seems to be eager to send cheques to people even when they have not requested them.

Has anyone faced a similar problem ?
What could be the possible reason a company is so desperate to send cheques even if they have not been requested?

It sounds like a scam. My guess is that they're trying to get your name and address etc or they want you to join their referral program.

No I have not faced it . It must be a scam or some marketing strategy.

Youmint clarified that the mail was sent due to a glitch in their system.

Thanks for the update! I suppose we should give them the benefit of the doubt (unless it keeps happening of course).
