Thread: Advertisers Wanted

I lived in Bangalore in 2006 - 2007. While there I started a blog on Blogger (meaning that it has blogspot in its domain name). I kept the blog alive since I returned to the US. It now has over 500 pages. It gets about 100 visitors a day.

Up to now I have not given serious thought to this blog's monitization. I have some AdSense ads and a few others, but nothing people click on.

It occurs to me that 100 people a day visit the blog expecting Indian things, such as advertisements for Indian products, like clothing, jewelry [Indians spell it jewellery] etc. Perhaps there should be advertisments of Indian products and services. The AdSense ads are not sensitive to Indian tastes. I looked at the affiliate networks I use on my other websites and have not found any advertisers that would appeal to the Indian website visitors market.

Can anyone connect me with advertisers/affiliate programs which appeal to the Indian market on an American blog that gets about 100 visitors a day? This might not be a gold mine, but it can produce a few dollars/rupees that should not be ignored.

But you miss the point. The blog is about a trip I took three years ago. It's in my past. I have moved on. I am now doing other things. I don't want to relive the past.

All I want to do is entertain and offer items for sale to those people who visit the site about my receding past. I am not certain why people choose to visit the site. Since the word 'India' is in the title I guess those visitors want to learn something about India. Maybe they want to buy something Indian. That's the only urge I want to satisfy. I have other fish to fry and don't want to plant my feet in the past.

But your suggestions are valid....for someone else.

It would be difficult to find a affilate program for indian stuff. What you are actually expecting is difficult for me to understand. If Visitors want to learn about India, Try to give them good stuff about the India.
