Here's hoping that Black Friday 2009 ends up being better than 2008, and I'm not talking about sales, profits and bargains etc...

You may remember that Black Friday 2008 saw a number of deaths, which you can read about here.

One step stores have taken to help avoid horrific stampedes from happening again this Black Friday 2009, is to remain open 24 hours starting Thanksgiving Day. So instead of rushing through the doors at opening time, customers will now be able to line up at individual sections of the store (see here).
