International Day of Non-Violence
Today is the 140th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, fondly called the "father of our nation", in India.
In the year 2007, the UN General Assembly decided to observe the International Day of Non-Violence, each year, on October 2 - the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
The resolution asks all members to disseminate the message of non-violence through education and public awareness.
On this special day, may I take the privilege to share with our forum members, one of the many profound quotes from this highly noble soul who walked this earth - our priceless home!
