International Hotels Expanding in India
Today I read about a number of hotels expanding in India.
In May 2009, it was announced that Marriott plans to open 24 new hotels in India over the next three years. It's interesting that while it uses Marriott.co.in, it redirects the .in to Marriott.com (rather than .co.in).
Also, the international hotel chain Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts is going to open its first Swissôtel in Kolkata, India. I notice Swissôtel prefer to use .com for all their international locations (whether it be Beijing, London or Sydney).
