Yes the figures for 2015 are overvalued!

Thanks Thomas, some interesting stats. I notice the presentation was prepared by someone who works at Microsoft India.

When you take into account how popular mobile phones are in India, it's not surprising that ICT trends show mobile phone subscriptions are increasing while fixed telephone lines are decreasing!

They don't really say how they reach the 2015 figures, which is obviously key.

Projected 10 million .in domain names by 2015...that will be nice, compared to 530,000 in 2009.

Thanks Tomko. Interesting numbers, indeed. Though the numbers are to be verified, referring to slide 6, the numbers about :

1) Installed PC base - 100 million
2) Internet users - 500 million and
3) Broadband Subscriptions - 200 million

are the ones which would make things so exciting for the .in domains.

With a population of India approximately 1.2 Billion by 2015, the above figures are arguably impressive, indeed!

On the other hand, just a couple of days back, it was confirmed that all the (official) Indian languages are in cyberspace.
