There are only a few score Indian families in the Sao Paulo region. From travels there with a male Tamil co-worker, I found that Indians are highly regarded in Brazil and receive lots of positive attention.
Brazilians generally take a good interest in people who are different. Brazilians are very open, unlike most people in my country (US) where we are usually insular.
