    Of course, ebay is also under competitive pressure from lots of niche auction websites that actually treat their customers well

    I consider that it is the temporary measures. They have been caused by the World Financial crisis. And I hope that in a period of time this situation will be stabilized.

    The recession has taken a big toll on businesses evry where. Of course, online trades didn't get out scot-free. The bad news is that according to experts, this scenario will take a long time to improve and rectify the damages done so far.

    This is very common when the economy is sliding. It may be common for the companies and not for the employee. An employee may have got a bank loan. But all of a sudden when he is given a pink slip, think about his situation. Prior notice should be given.
