Talking Translation please
What are some of the weird and funny phrases you hear in your country? Here are a few of mine:

United Kingdom:
I am sending you to Coventry = I am not speaking to you
Chip buttie = sandwich filled with chips
Dog and Bone = telephone

Canada:
Eh = not sure what the translation is, but I sure do hear this a lot in Canada

I know about a lot weird, funny and very strange phrases in Germany. And it is very interesting that all German Lands have their own funny and weird phrases. But the most commonly used phrase is " Why ?"- -" Because!" and that is all. It is the translation surely.
