Thumbs up ICANN- Registrant Rights and Responsibilities

On 27 June 2011, ICANN published a webpage that identifies available registrant rights and responsibilities. The Registrant Rights and Responsibilities document is posted on ICANN’s website at:

ICANN | Registrant Rights and Responsibilities Under the 2009 Registrar Accreditation Agreement.

Under the RAA, each Registrar is required to “provide a link to this webpage on any website it may operate for domain name registration or renewal clearly displayed to its Registered Name Holders at least as clearly as its links to policies or notifications required to be displayed under ICANN Consensus Policies.”

Registrar must provide the link(s) on all of its appropriate websites by 27 July 2011 as per the 2009 RAA. Registrar’s failure to provide the required link on their website by 27 July 2011 may result in compliance action by ICANN.
