INDRP case of iGoogle.in
In the latest INDRP case, the Complainant is Google Inc who owns the worldwide well-known Google brand. Google registered the GOOGLE mark in India in 1999.
The Respondent registered the domain iGoogle.in in 2007. He did not file a response in this case.
The Arbitrator found that the Respondent was deliberately misguiding internet users by registering the disputed domain which is identical or confusingly similar to Google Inc's trademark. I checked the Google cache for this domain and it showed the website had been parked.
The Arbitrator ordered iGoogle.in to be transferred to Google Inc. No surprises here as this is a blatant example of trademark infringement.

Re: INDRP case of iGoogle.in
Seems like another no brainer case.
The good news is that large companies are concerned about .in cybersquatting - that obviously means they think .in is important.
