China: Hacker Penalties
Currently, China imposes penalties on hackers who break into computer systems belonging to "government, military and scientific research institutes."
As sabotaged computer systems are becoming more common, I read that lawmakers in China are now considering expanding its current law. Soon hackers may also receive penalties for breaking into the computer systems of a "bank or business computer."
Lawmakers may also introduce penalties against those who develop and distribute hacking software.
