Post Where to report for fake whois data provided for a domain?

    I want to know
Where to report for fake whois data provided for a domain?
I have seen many Guys registering domains with fake who is details and making many problems to public.

So as we can report here http://wdprs.internic.net for .com domain
Is there any website where we can report .IN domains using fake who is address.
Or should we report it at http://inregistry.in/Contact Us using email

I would think the domain could be lost .. With the harsh .in registry rules.

They have taken names over less, no ?

    Process is as follow :

    1. After your complain .IN registry, they will inform concern registrar to verify the accuracy of whois record within 15 days ? if whois record found inaccurate and rectified by the registrant or registrar within that period, then no issue ? but if no changes are made inspite of that then .IN registry have limited scope in that. You have to go in the court of Law or initiate the INDRP process OR if you have strong and known mark then even hard copy notice of attorney where you try to prove that you have substantial interest in the domain name and you want to go legal against the registrant for violation , then you may get the name suspended from the registry?

In short , In general practice any party who want to file the case or want to take legal action against the registrant of domain name, issues the notice and if notice are return undelivered then the complaint is filed to registry by aggrieved party, but if somebody just find that the whois record is not proper and file the complaint then .IN registry simply forward the complaint to registrar and if same is not rectified then you have to go to court of law or in INDRP process and you have best chances to get the domain name suspended and if you have other required INDRP conditions fulfilled then can even get the domain name.

Even in case of .com etc. lot of domain name are kept under whois privacy and did you ever think that any registrar gives you the contact details of the registrant on your simple complaint ? We think NO ? you require to give proper attorney notice or bring some sort of proof that abuse or violation is going on particular domain name only after that some registrar gives info or some even refuses to give ? ultimately you require to send hard copy notices to them only after they give info.

So if you are planning to file complaint before registry then it means you have substantial interest in the said name and want to start legal process.

I think Any domain related issues will be resolved through UDRP (Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy) or WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization)

contact domain registrar first - they will be able to help you in this regard.

If it does not workout then take it up with registry.
