Default Yahoo Invests in Indian local search market

I read that Yahoo has bought a 30% stake in Info Network Management Company (INMAC), an Indian company that offers a telephone directory service called Call Ezee.

Users in India will now be able to access information about local businesses and services through Yahoo Web sites such as Yahoo Local -- and also by phone through the Call Ezee service offered by INMAC
The Indian local search market is seeing significant changes, as consumers are increasingly using mobile phones to search for and find local businesses
More info can be found at Yahoo! Tech.

Default Re: Yahoo Invests in Indian local search market

I am not surprised at all to hear that Yahoo is investing into India. The economy in India is booming and many foreign companies are looking for ways now on how to invest into the Indian market.
