Hi Alessandro,
I wish you success with your new forum!
To set yourself apart from other Indian forums out there, you could perhaps specialise within a particular area. For example, INForum specialises in the area of Indian domains. Hopefully, others can also provide you with some feedback and suggestions.
SEO Refugee has a great article that provides tips on how to promote a forum. See: 10 Tips for Promoting Your Forum*by*SEO Refugee
Best of luck

Thank you very much Ceres, i was thinking of specialising in a certain area.
It's my first forum so i'll see how it starts and then i'll decide.
If anyone has suggestion it'll be appreciated.
Thank you again :-)Last edited by donnied79; 10-26-2008 at 12:13 AM.

Very nice skin!
I agree with Ceres - very insightful comments by her.
The urls don't look search engine friendly. I'm not sure if there's a mod for phpBB to help with that. I've got vbseo on INForum and find it helps with ranking in Google tremendously.
It's good to keep the number of categories limited, especially at the beginning, but I'd still add a couple more categories in.
Good luck with your forum! It's always good to see new Indian forums developing.

Thanks for the advices. I'll try vbseo and i'll add a couple of categories.
As you suggest the topic will be more specific and is international soccer.
Let's see what happens.
Thanks again, any other suggestion is welcome.

Thanks for the warm welcome and your quick reply. How about sending me a PM of your plans and some details of the team you have with you. It would help me to decide on your offer.
