Orkut and other Social networking sites?
Orkut is one of the most popular websites in India, and the most popular social networking website in India. It has actually forced other social networks to come out with their indianised versions. So is Orkut really a trendsetter in this regard?

A trendsetter or not, Orkut sure is the most popular. But Facebook runs a close second. I personally feel that Facebook is better. In fact, the themes and applications idea that Orkut now implements has been on Facebook for quite a while.

I would say it is. I mean if it has caused other social sites to create an Indian version of their own network then I think your statement is very true.
